What Were Your Parents Rules for You?

Do you think they raised you with the right values?

My parents had three main simple rules 1 don t do drugs 2 don t get pregnant and 3 stay in school. They would say it s not for our own good it s yours. However they also let us know that if we did do drugs or got pregnant it wouldn t destroy our lives but it would affect us and them deeply. They did tell my sisters and I that they would always love us and support us. While there were other minor rules that they had these were the three main ones others included not allowing us to have boys in our room no piercings and no tattoos. As time went on I did rebel and sneak guys into my room when they weren t there and I did get my nose pierced. I d just rebel and refuse to take it off until they got tired of asking me to take it off. They eventually just got over it. The same thing happened when I got my tongue pierced but that was different because I was 18. Of all the rules my family had for us keeping my room clean was our biggest problem they just wouldn t let it go. One day I just gave in and I ve been keeping my room clean so I wouldn t have to hear them. I always got what I want it and in some ways I do wish that my parents could have been a little more stricter with me but I think they did a wonderful job raising me and my sister. They are the best parents in the whole wide world. What are your opinions of how your parents raised you? Did you like their rules? Did they help you?
